This is a very difficult subject, which requires not only classroom instruction, but also repetition and practice. For this reason we have created a special set of two DVDs to give our students the opportunity to further observe and practice the elements of technique on their own.
Technique DVDs I and II address technique for a variety of common elements in Argentine tango. These elements include, but are not limited to, posture, connection, elasticity, density, projection, lead and follow. Also addressed are specific techniques for pivots, turns, ochos, boleos, lapiz, enrosques, paradas, traspies, sacadas, and embellishments. Attention to your technique and practice will help you to achieve the elegance and sensuality that are the very heart of the tango.
