RENACER /REBIRTH(Tango)

Y te enseña a llorar"

Sos vos solo quien decide

"The battle is cruel and difficult"     (from the lyric of Discepolo's Tango "Uno")
Is one way of thinking
That one chooses in advance
How much you have to fight
And "those who don't cry don't get milk"   (from the lyric of Discepolo's Tango "Cambalache" )
(the english way to say it is: "only the squeaky wheel gets the grease" )
That's not always true
Complaining is the way
To constantly live in anxiety.

And "the world has been and always will be filth"   (from lyric of Discepolo's Tango "Cambalache")
Is really a fatal mentality
That ruins, destroy you
And distances you from your goodness.
Belive that "he who doesn't rob is stupid"  (from lyric of Discepolo's Tango "Cambalache")
Means that lying
Can take over your life
And make you live badly.

Today, everything can change
It's a new awakening
Don't go back to dreaming
About what you don't want to live, to happen
Start right now to forget that thought
And a rebirth will blossom in you.

If you think "life is a hell"  (from the lyric of Discepolo's Tango "Tormenta")
That will be your truth
Because you are the one who determines
What exists inside you
That "love is your enemy   (from the lyric of Discepolo's Tango "Cancion desesperada")
And teaches you to cry"
That's the way that you close yourself off
And truth escapes you, you'll lose the truth.

That "we live in the mud"     (from lyric of Discepolo's Tango "Cambalache")
Is your imagination, your feeling
Stop thinking this way
If you still want  to be happy
Stop being angry all the time
With excuses and bitterness
You are the only one who can decide
Whether to fight or to be happy.

Today, everything can change
It's a new awakening
Don't go back to dreaming
About what you don't want to live
Start right now to forget that thought
And a rebirth will blossom in your being.

With outmost respect and admiration for the wonderful works of Enrique Santos Discepolo, I decided to write this Tango, where I use some of his most famous quotes that are commonly used nowadays in Argentina's society. The idea is to invite you to a self reflection about the implication on one's life of such affirmations. As such, my intention was never to disacredit the extraordinaire works of Disceplo in any way, shape or form. Thus, I ask you to  please consider this, and if anybody would feel offense, I offer my sincere apologies in advance.
